Capital Chatterers Toastmasters Club

Committee Role - Sergeant-at-Arms

According to TMI the SAA is responsible for the club's equipment and for setting up the room and all the other logistics associated with the meeting. They are also responsible for ensuring guests are greeted and made to feel welcome.

Like many NZ clubs, we keep all our equipment at the club, and assign the role of Assistant-Sergeant-at-arms (ASA) as one of the meeting roles to set up the room make the coffee, etc. We also encourage all members, especially those on the committee, to keep an eye out for visitors.

As such the SAA is available to take on other duties for the committee. In Chartered Chatterers the SAA is often re-assigned to role of organiser of social events.
